Abdominoplasty

Also more commonly known as a ‘tummy tuck’, abdominoplasty relates to cosmetic surgery procedures performed on and around the abdomen, often after several pregnancies or dramatic weight loss, to remove excessive skin and to provide a flatter stomach. Is abdominoplasty the right stomach surgery for you? So much about the way we look has an influence on our levels of self-confidence and self-esteem. This is constantly being challenged every time we take off our clothes, whether we are then seen by our partner or are just looking at ourselves in the mirror. Mother nature can be unduly unfair on many women after childbirth, and especially if you have given birth to three or four children. She can also be very unfair when you have worked hard to lose a substantial amount of weight. In both instances, the stomach area is left with unwanted folds of skin and tissue that make us feel uncomfortable, whether it is going to the beach, or in more intimate circumstances. Abdominoplasty is an excellent solution to the physical problems left behind after childbirth or dramatic weight loss, and of course it is a cosmetic procedure that has been beneficial to many men who have also undergone weight loss. Abdominoplasty is not to be confused with liposuction, a procedure we also carry out here at Maccenta Istanbul, which involves only the removal of excess fat from the stomach and thigh regions. What Is involved in a ‘tummy tuck’ or abdominoplasty? You have the choice of a full abdominoplasty or a mini-abdominoplasty, the latter performed only on the area of the stomach below the belly button. In a full abdominoplasty, or tummy tuck, excess fat and skin from abdomen is surgically removed. In addition, the procedure tightens weakened or separated muscles above and below the belly button, providing you with a firmer and smoother abdominal area. If you have travelled from afar and have opted an all-inclusive package, you will be collected from your hotel and taken to the hospital for your procedure and, once discharged, you will be driven back to your hotel as part of our all-inclusive service. Mini Abdominoplasty

Performed for similar reasons as a full abdominoplasty, but a mini abdominoplasty or mini tummy tuck is performed to remove excess skin and fatty tissue only below the line of the tummy button. The benefits of a mini abdominoplasty or tummy tuck operation While there may be various body ‘types’, no two humans are identical, and over the passage of time, our bodies can all change in a different way. In women, the abdomen often changes shape after childbirth, or multiple childbirths, while in both men and women dramatic weight loss can result in folds of skin and a residue of fat that is loose, predominantly below the navel. In such instances, a mini abdominoplasty is the ideal procedure and will help to remove those folds of skin that are unsightly, and which can erode your self-confidence and undermine your personal body image. There is an expression “look good, feel good’ and it is so very true. However, sometimes we only look good when certain areas of our body are covered up. It can be embarrassing and uncomfortable if our stomach doesn’t look as flat and firm as it did when we were younger, while it can be demoralising to lose a lot of weight, yet our body still provides us with reminders that we used to be a lot larger. A mini abdominoplasty is perfect for those of you who want to improve the look of your stomach below the navel, as this is the area which is causing you most concern. What does a mini abdominoplasty or mini tummy tuck involve? This is a procedure which is performed under a general anaesthetic, and which will usually require one overnight stay in the hospital. The surgery itself involves the removal of loose skin and fat, followed by a tightening up of the weakened muscles in the stomach below the tummy button or navel. If you have travelled from afar and have opted an all-inclusive package, you will be collected from your hotel and taken to the hospital for your procedure and, once discharged, you will be driven back to your hotel as part of our all-inclusive service. Liposuction

Liposuction is one of the best known cosmetic surgery procedures and is one which involves the removal of excess fat from specific areas of the body, including the thighs, hips, buttocks, stomach and arms. Is liposuction the right plastic surgery procedure for you? Bodies come in all shapes and sizes, and in certain circumstances, no matter how hard we try, we just can’t end up with a body shape we are happy with. While males also undergo liposuction cosmetic procedures, the great majority who take advantage of this cosmetic surgery technique are women. Liposuction involves the breaking down of subcutaneous fat that is located immediately below the skin, followed by its removal, by suction. It should never be seen as an alternative solution to dieting as a means to losing weight but instead, liposuction provides a means to remove stubborn areas of fat that refuse to disappear, even with dieting. One of the biggest advantages of liposuction is that the results are long-lasting and, if you maintain a healthy calorie-controlled diet that maintains your weight, the results of liposuction will be permanent. Liposuction also has the advantage of being a cosmetic surgery procedure that can be used on small, local areas, such as the chin or under the arms, or for larger areas such as the abdomen, hips or thighs. What does liposuction involve? Liposuction is a nominally invasive surgical procedure, which goes a long way to explain its popularity, along with the successful results it can achieve. The procedure is performed under a general anaesthetic. Initially, the area where fat is to be removed from is injected with anaesthetic and antibiotics to reduce the risk of infection. After this, the fat is loosened, usually through high-frequency vibration, a weak laser pulse, or a high-pressure jet of water. Once that process has been completed, a small incision is made, and the loose fat is then removed by suction, after which the incision is sutured shut. Depending on the size of the area to be treated, more than one incision may be made to remove the excess fat. If you have travelled from afar and have opted an all-inclusive package, you will be collected from your hotel and taken to the hospital for your procedure and, once discharged, you will be driven back to your hotel as part of our all-inclusive service. Hand Aesthetics – Hand Rejuvenation

Hand aesthetics refers to a range cosmetic surgical procedures performed with the intention of reducing the aging appearance of your hands. Why you consider hand rejuvenation  Along with our face, our hands also show signs that we are aging. Unlike our face, we look at our hands many, many times a day, so we see those constant reminders that we are getting older. From a loss of collagen to thinning of the skin, or greater prominence of veins to the appearance of brown markings known as liver spots or sun spots, the effects are hard to disguise. Hand rejuvenation procedures are becoming an increasingly popular means to turn back the clock when it comes to the aged appearance of your hands, and unlike a number of other cosmetic enhancement procedures, those for hand rejuvenation are nominally invasive.  What is involved in hand rejuvenation aesthetics?  While there are creams and lotions available to combat the effects of drying skin, micorodermabrasion can encourage the regrowth of collagen to aid the rejuvenation of skin and reduction in the color of sun spots. However, there are more-effective and longer lasting treatments available. Laser treatment are extremely effective at treating liver spots or sun spots through repeated treatments of intense pulse light (IPL) which activates genes and in turn the production of collagen and elastin.  Dermal fillers can be injected into the hand, usually made of an aqueous gel which breaks down over time and becomes absorbed by the body. Such a treatment usually lasts up to a year before requiring repeating.  Lipomodelling involves harvesting small amounts of fat from you body, purifying in a centrifuge and then injected into the hand to restore volume under the skin and which has a longer-lasting effect.  Where veins are particularly prominent in an aging hand, these can be removed by a process called sclerotherapy.  If you have travelled from afar and have opted an all-inclusive package, you will be collected from your hotel and taken to the hospital for your procedure and, once discharged, you will be driven back to your hotel as part of our all-inclusive service.  Hand rejuvenation as part of a multiple cosmetic procedure  More and more often we perform aesthetic surgery as part of a multiple cosmetic procedure. This type of surgery can be performed alongside a facelift or neck lift, as these procedures greatly complement each other. Schedule  Hand rejuvenation procedures are [...]
